My Motherfucking Tool

In the past week I have replaced the rear shocks on my pa's Brava, the lower arms and power steering pump on my neighbour's Astra mk3 and the rear hub on my MR2.

There are some big bolts I have encountered and I always tend to resort to my Stilson (which I stole off my dad who has had it since the 1970's) on the end on a 1m reinforced pipe (which I found - the best bodge tools are always found). I encountered several tonight on the crazy amount of camber/toe rods on the MR2 and they will be meeting "the twatter" tommorow:

Perspective does it no good, the Stilson is two foot long - it's the only way I could frame it properly with the camera.

Like the title :lol::lol: I recently bought some Teng 'stilsons' and they are fuckin shite, I'd be ashamed to place them in my toolbox and Teng are supposed to be alrighty an' all.

I'm surprised - are you sure you're using them right??? It's as if you have ten extra people pulling on it with you, by far the best tool ever invented when you've run out of options. I only buy Teng stuff now, Halfords used to be okay but they don't do six sided socket sets. I was looking at their socket sets and a modest one costs 250 quid. :)There was a rumour they're made in the same factory as Snap-On stuff.

Last time I saw the big Halford Professional set was on special for something like £99.No, Snap-on are made by Snap-On in the Goddam U-S of Goddam A, its their budget range of tools that are made by any other twot this side of Taiwan, I know that Draper Professional, Sealey and Halfords Pro are all th same stuff-In fact I just bought a Sealey Toolbox to replace the one that got stolen, on special it was £42 but then I noticed Halfords had exactly the same box for something like half the price  Blue Point can vary depending where they source their stuff from, recently I purchased two blue point socket sets, one just a 3/8 and t'other was both 1/4 and 3/8, even though the ratchet and many sockets were the same the difference in quality for some reason was massive, my 3/8 set feels good but the mixed set felt shit so I sold it on the bay.I'm not a badge snob by any means, I just wanted something that was half decent but not stupid money, I would without doubt buy a Facom 1/4 ratchet when the time comes though, there is nothing worse than using a ratchet in an awkward place and having to crank the wrench loads jut to get it to ratchet.Teng Stilsons-shit, shitty shit shit, they feel like they've been lobbed together by a blind 7 year old from the Ukraine. Like most of my tools it was a special offer purchase, now I know why.Phew! enough tool talk???
