3 years later, I've finally sorted my seat out.

Stripped it down

Cleaned it all back and applied epoxy mastic paint.

Attached some wood to enable the stapling of the new cover. (Originally it was just glued on)

A top man who has a unit on the same farm as mine then made a nice new cover for it.

Just need to find a bit of time to get it on the scooter now! :)

Neat work! Is that an original Giuliari on the white S3? I'd like something similar on my fatbird S2 and modern Chinese seats don't come close.

It is! Very good reproductions are available for about £120. 👍

Can't find one at the moment, I'll keep looking. 👍

Finally got the seat on this now

Dug out the others.

I like it! Same design as my original one from 1990.😀

I moved all these things to my unit in the Summer.

The plan was that if they were here where I spend a lot of time, then I'd surely use them more.

I did get them out a few times, but not nearly as much as I'd hoped. Maybe next year!

Dug this out today to run it up.

Battery is dead now after sitting around for several years, but it'll be getting a new one in the Spring. 👍

They do feel very nervous in comparison after you've just got off any "proper" bike! 🤔

Once you've got used to the gears (and not gone through 300 clutch cables a month) they're absolutely ace to ride.

Funnily enough the gears were fine. It was them little wheels Billy, just always felt a bit skittish. In all honesty though I was never a two wheel natural. I rode trials as a kid and spent most of my time led under it 🤣

The noise on the other hand. By God it's on my list of the best engine notes of ever.
