Helpful website required...

Does anyone know of a site that tells you the type and capacities for engine oil, gearbox oil and coolant? If there isn't one then there should be! Should I be going on the manufacturers sites or do they lose interest once the car's out of warranty?

 

If not then can anyone tell me what coolant I need for my sharan? It's orange, if that helps, and it's a bit low. How low I'm not sure as there's none in the coolant reservoir.

G12 (pinky stuff) for the Sharan; carfolio can be useful for capacitys / dimensions

Orange/red will be OAT coolant, ideally not to mixed with the conventional green/blue stuff I think.

 

I normally just google for the capacities, and sometimes you can get free pdf downloads of Haynes manuals, depending on the car (usually just extracts rather than the whole manual).

Quantum oils ( part of the Tps Volkswagen group) is useful for oils and battery look ups

Thanks folks. I found some g30 which says suitable for VW's in the shed. Hopefully that will be OK?
