Bloody hell. Where did that come from? There's a lot of real old shit on there (90's Ford and GM stuff) but a few interesting bits of crap.

That could be yours for £62.50 plus VAT. They are offering 50% off everything until the end of April.

That's a lot of cheap 340 bits. 8)

I'm keeping an eye on this. It seems a pretty good idea to me!

They don't sell the whole car, just the right to take parts off it for a set amount of time, what's left after your time is up has to go to the crusher. And we complain about the scrappage scheme.....

if you ask them to take the engine and gear box out before you get there im sure if you and a few mates worked for 7 hours you could strip the motor to a bare shell ?? gotta be worth the time and money ??

£40 to have the engine an boxed on a pallet for you - seems good to me. They might have the very cheap XJ40 with the manual box still there - should make a healthy return

Well, the two are hardly the same are they? If the choice is that these things go straight to the fragger, or we can pull some bits of first, it has to be a good idea.

I still wonder what happened that this lovely old beast ended up there. 52k on the clock looks damn tidy too..what a waste I'd love to blag around in this

My guess is the owner took it for a blast after it had been laid up for the winter and got busted for no tax.

What's the time limit then?Sounds a bit like a gameshow, where only the contestant is the loser! Are they closing the gates as you are wheeling the engine crane out to your van?

umm wonder if i should start the same scheme in france...

Looks like you start at 9m and wrap up by 4. Seven hours is enough to strip a car where the engine's already out. I can't believe that poor Saab Slug is for the chop. I did a bit of research and some of the cars are in fact Category C and D (repairable) but wouldn't make enough money complete. This way they get to sell a load of bits and still get the shell to weigh in.There are an awful lot of Mondeos and Vectras and you wonder who the hell is going to buy them all?

Well TBH I don't know what's worse. Unless you are there when the mint classics are being chopped in for a plastic eurobox, at least you don't know (though can suspect). This is saying "look at this lovely old car, you can take bits off it but you can't drive off in it". Yes at least you get the parts, but who wouldn't rather have the whole car?

There will be some cars where nobody's interested in any of the parts on it - it's the bodyshell that they want, but can't have! RWD Escort obv.
