I'm so tempted, but the Mrs will cut "them" off if I get this

Could you pretend you are storing it for a mate? And when pressed to get shot just keep saying "yeah, he said next weekend, honest love"

Probably not - but she is going to the UK for 3 weeks soon - do you reckon I could get it roadworthy in that time!!!!!!

Piece o piss - my Chevy's only been in (two different) garages for 17 years and counting.  The house move was due to getting divorced - I kept the Chevy though.

Oh yeah no problem. Look at Car S.O.S or Classic Car Rescue, they always seem to manage. Just shave your head, walk about in a huff shouting "bladdy 'ell Mawio" every five seconds and it will be right as rain just before some twat in red trousers pops in to declare it worth a gazillion dollars. That's what happens on TV, right?

Looking at the ad I am guessing you are in NZ?

Are the plates still live? If so I'm sure* you could get a WOF in 3 weeks :)

I know a couple of people who would probably give me a WOF as is!!

Recently bought a 96 V4 which I'm restoring and I love it; the shape and design of the old hunchbacks has really grown on me (ahem)

My mate owns a 1965 2 stroke which has a lot of appeal but it is a less practical proposition.

She might even like it! Ultimately, literally nobody on here is going to dissuade you from getting it so you might as well start clearing a space in the garage and arrange a collection date with the seller. We all know that's where this is going!

Tell her they are worth a bloody fortune in Europe or something and it's a better investment than a retail unit in Auckland - and that's true as a stranger on the internet said so. Then you are doing it to make money to buy her shiny things because she is so awesome, etc etc

She has lots of shiny things already among them an S class Merc and lots of jewellery . I on the other hand have a shed
