mk1 focus rear spring swap

the focus failed its mot on a rear spring

 

any pointers for a diy swap , havent had a look at it but guessing all the control arm bolts may well be seized?   will i get it out if i undo the damper and lever the arm down?   maybe top damper bolt as its not rusted?

As above. Squish it and lift it out, looks like.

Get the tools to compress it in place . Every single bolt will be seized into the bushes and need new arms , bolts and geometry sorted . An absolute ball ache of a job unless you cheat with the tools .

thanks for the kind offer...i ended paying a garage with the compressor to do it
