SHITELY REQUEST: Brighton(ish) to Watford/Cambridge

Hello

 

Keen readers of my "Wanted" thread will know I've just agreed to buy a rather fine looking Rover 75 down on the south coast.  

 

Now... normally I'd finish work at about 11am and get the train down.  However 

 

A) At the moment I'm doing 14 hour days, not finishing until 6PM.

2) Getting a half day is proving impossible

D) Southern Railways.  

 

Southern are basically on strike every day this week... only returning to work on Thursday for a few hours when they know all rolling stock will be in completely the wrong bloody place.

 

Anybody happening to be coming my way perhaps in convoy so that you can get an onward lift/ride home?

 

If not, I'll have to come up with some kind of cunning plan - or have it delivered.

 

If you can help I'd be mega grateful.

Worst case scenario, I can collect it and store on my drive (in Brighton) until you can find the time to come down, if the vendor wants it shifted asap

That's very kind.  I think he's ok to be patient for a bit, but we all have our breaking point!
