There's me Da and matey who selt me it.

Bagged from eBay, near Falkirk as a non-runner.
It's had a rod go through the block after the lad I bought it from fucked up a rebuild it never needed.

It is a bit tatty as expected, so I am unsure what to do with at at this stage, but for  the £500 I paid it was well worth the 300 mile round trip. Especially as the seller wanted £1250 with the yellow Billies and Advan's.

I said FTS and threw some shit, spare 17s and black big piston Billies in the boot, and planned to swap the parts on his drive, if my tactics never worked,

I would say it looks to have been a track car, it has a FG bootlid with CF skin and looks to have had a Fast and Furious style alu wing on there at some stage and has some Poundland/Raceland seats.

Anyone seen it being raped around Knockhill?

I reckon I am gonna break it, but it can sit in my sisters yard for now.

(DIsappointed with my straps btw, the wheel loop things are way too long, like they are for a fuckin truck!)

I wonder what 'A Man In Dandism' means?

Noone knows lol. The floor mats also have similar bollocks on. There's loads of 'Dandism' crap.

The translation seems to refer to either 'Dandy', or more likely 'Macho'. :-)

Oof, Japan spec turbo in blue, an unmolested one of those would be a dream.

I have a red one in stock if sir would prefer?

The one from the smoking turbo thread. I am removing the very few mods that this low mileage one possesses, to return it to 100% standard and rebuilding the turbo. Then it will be for sale.

It should be a  very rare bird, indeed.

Most folk have never even seen one with an original exhaust and airbox lol.

Can I fuck separate the exhaust housing from the turbo atm, though. Even with MAP gas and liberal but careful hammer time!

I will gain access to oxy acetylene when I can and show it what's up!

But yeah, I have them stashed all over. i have 3, including my own and various other cars.

I am using up favours!

They don't bring as much money as they should do, imo. Which I consider both good, and bad!

RE Rev 3 styling, I agree. I always intended to have my Rev 2 Turbo (keeper) as intended, unpainted splitter, no skirts, back lights etc but I had a shit condition spoiler on it, so wanged a Rev 5 job on (I do like those and had a GTi parts car) then the rear lights from the same car to see if I preferred them. The jury is still out on that.

It made sense to me to have it colour coded and the rear quarter spoiler holes welded up though - no body kit, That aint my thing,

I'm surprised more on here don't own these, cannot beat them, bang for buck IMO.

I love love love these. One of the first sports cars I ever drove was a non turbo with the 170bhp donkey. That felt lively enough the turbos must be mega!

Heads over to eBay........ignores bank balance.......

I have only ever drove turbo's and the Rev 5 GTi I bought to swap a load of parts onto my Rev 2 Turbo.

I agree that the 170ish BHP feels pretty decent, I was more impressed by driving one with standard shocks, springs, compliant tyres and a rattle free cabin tbh!

I doubt I could enjoy an early N/A, mind.

The red Rev 3 rides and sounds much the same, it is a pleasant experience.

The turbo's are savage, and I love that about them.

3 on the books and not one has those god awful plasma dials.

I am pleased about that lol.
