Renault 25 windows needed

Sorry for a begging first post but I am trying to help an elderly couple near me keep their one owner with 66k, full Renault history R25 on the road as the insurance co would like to scrap it. I am desperate for 4 windows, the uppy,downy door ones to be precise as some nice scrote has smashed all 4 of them. It is a 1992 TXE Executive with all the toys if that maked any differenceThanks in anticipation

Yes it is, it is stored at a friends yard at the moment. I can buy the car myself if I want it but am loathe to do so without being able to get some glass. Renault can get it from France but they require my son as deposit.Don't suppose the doors are retrievable are they?Did you buy that 25 turbo in Bracknell the other day?

No i didn,t went for £420 i think,but its a rare beast...Sorry but the doors have gone now,i know you can get them from France as i know who you contacted ref these,i,am only 10 mins away myself and was really interested in seeing this car but i missed it!!!PM with your details and i,il see what i can do,any chance of viewing it??

Yeah i,ve contacted them ref a heater motor,best give them a ring and ask,but i doubt it would get to you in one piece!!

Can Autoglass not sort anything? They have stocks of all manner of weird glass from when it was popular in days gone.

Autoglass = £377! That one on e-bay you picture on has 2 intact and he wants nearly as much as Renault for them and won't post

Hi,it would be a pitty to see it scrapped for something costing nothing like windows... I also have thrown away a complete set of windows about 2 month ago. ;(I only kept the triangular windows because I thought those are the ones a sensible thief would smash... Maybe I did keep the front ones? I'll check!What about a week-end trip to France? Should be cheap as chips there :)Daniel

Seriously that's not a bad idea. You can get a day return on the ferry for about £30 and if you can find a scrappy near Calias I bet the glass is well cheap.Isn't there a member on here in France? I know it's a big place, but maybe he might be able to find some. Also try Retro Rides.

Got all excited today and put the battery back on the car at it started touch of the button. Had loads of fun playing with the electric seats and pushing all the buttons to see what they do! I even had Steven Hawking telling me I had no fuel and the bonnet was open. Sat there for awhile reading throught the books and recoded the radio,quite a reasonable sound. Read through the inch thick pile of Renault invoices and the service book and noticed that even though it has only done 66k it has had 2 cambelt changes and had a full service at 61k last Sept. Am getting more keen on having this car myself by the minute. What shall I do with the Laguna I wonder?

The V6 Turbo has appeared again on E-bay??So someone has a second chance to save it,i,ve put in an offer, so see what happens.

Well got the windows from Paul, all fitted and working. Given the old girl a wash off but still needs a bit more of a tonce up before I will inflict pictures on you all.While I was down at Paul's place also picked up 25v6turbo's climate control module for him and that is all working for him nowJust need to say many thanks to Paul for all his help

Yep at LONG last i have heater fan speeds,great!!!Peters 25 is a nice car,if he doesn,t keep it,it would make a really nice smoker for someone,lovely history,leather etc,great barge!!

good result all round us 25 fans got to stick together (you know were not allowed on RCCC site for another 5 yrs yet ) will there be any 25s left by then cheers paul
