That Stagecoach Lodekka is for real. They had a load of them running in Glasgow in the '80's when bus de-regulation kicked off. Some were branded Magicbus. More like tragic bus due to the beat up appearance and the general shonkeyness of them. Back then Stagecoach was a far cry from the slick operation they are now. I loved travelling on them as a youngster as it was an adventure.

 

That broon Allegro is local to me. I see it about on occasion. Embarrassingly, it passed me when I was stuck at the side of the road when I had a FTP in my GS!

That Badgerline rebody Paramount Leopard gets everywhere! Stagecoach ran a fair few Lodekkas at deregulation, for OMGMPG and they were cheap.

Mercrocker. The modern engines carry loads more equipment than the older ones did but even still they could always do with more storage space.

 

Out of interest that model of scania are still in use as reserve appliances. We were using one last week, albeit a P reg, but it's essentially the same as the F reg above. It's showing its age but still capable of doing what it's supposed to.
