For Sale For Sale: 4x 155/65R14 Tyres - BRAND NEW

Due to my inability to distinguish the numbers 2 (two) and 6 (six) I find myself offering 4x Brand new, packaged, stickered, utterly unused, virgin, whatever UniRoyal Rainsports in the desirable* 155/65/R14 size.

 

These were bought for my mother-in-law's Suzuki Alto, and in a typical no-good-deed-goes-unpunished fashion the order got screwed up and I bought, paid for and had delivered six tyres. I required two.

 

Since she does about 200 miles a century its not even worth keeping the 4 uniroyals for next time she needs a set, as this will be in about the year 2355. If anyone is interested please let me know urgently before she tried to offload them to someone for a pittance.

They are quite popular with the Minor crowd if they have fitted wider 4.5J wheels, pity we hadn't more time as I am off to the IOW Morris rally in the morning.   If you are going to Beaulieu at the weekend might be worth a card on the free notice boards or in your car windscreen.

Its not critical that they are shifted tonight - it can wait until after the weekend potentially?

Ideally £30 each which is what I paid for them - I'm down on the south coast though so uneconomical to post as you can get them for £31 each inculding postage from TL.

Any more interest in these? My in-laws are debating endlessly about whether to fit two, four or send them back and its about to give me an aneurysm having to deal with it. My advice that "since you have 6 of the sodding things, fit the matching four and you won't have to think about it for several years at least' caused much wringing of hands and umming and aahing and I literally can't deal with it any more.

 

So, up to four tyres, potentially all new or possibly 2x part-worn and 2x new firestones? Anyone?

 

I'm also never offering to help anyone ever again - I should have just told them to go to bloody kwik-fit and get a pair of shit ditchfinders there and then. No good deed goes unpunished and all that.

Not much luck my end, either, Stanky.   I feel MM owners are next to in-laws when it comes to understanding motoring economics.   Anyhoo I have another couple of people to ask who weren't there at the weekend.    Jeez, its hard work though, isnt it?
