After a period of time, nothing.................................the alarms were even worse........

I agree I had one of the ignition ones on my FWD Triumph 1300, great when (if) it worked. It didn't help that I often switched it to the off position as an anti-theft deterrent, when parking it and then forgot to switch it back on.

I've got one of the modules somewhere! The idea was that it just uses the points to trigger a transistor, so they would carry minimal current and suffer little wear. Strikes me as a poor compromise though.

 

Oh, and I still have a (working) Sparkrite alarm on the Stellar!
