Nurburgring 24h live.

This weekend has the fabulous 24h race at the 'ring, I've been a couple of times and would love to return.

Apologies if link doesn't work for streaming, - I'm incompetent.

I think the race is live 3.30 Sat till 3.30 Sun German time.

Its looking a bit like the M25 at the moment, all cars stopped after heavy rain storm, I think there will be arguments over who gets on the recovery wagons first.

Part of track white with hail, part in sunshine. Not good on racing tyres!

Jonny Smith will be turning up later with his Enfield super electric thing, and Andy Frost is there with Red Victor 5 too. Just watched a French bloke ride a rocket bike - 256mph at the quarter mile!

My aged FiL who regularly spectated at the ring in the 70's has been glued to this since I passed the link on to him.

That was brilliant! A pass for the win on the very last lap. You don't often get racing that close after 24 hours.

it was a good race once it got going properly, it left a few German Manufacturers with questions to answer.

For the spectators N24 is still largely about racing, unlike the Le Mans 24 which is a very heavily commercialised party these days. That said, the rain at La Sarthe is a lot warmer than the rain in the Eiffel mountains!
