Fuel shortage in France

Oh, and in this area the Douans (customs and excise) assisted by Le Flic have been out checking HGV's and vans for naughty fuel.

Torigny junction A84 if you're in a cherry powered chod collection machine.

€1.28? It's only 1.158 in the locals here. (I thought I was in the Rip-off Republic, but obviously not)

Seems to be back to fairly normal levels now.

The local place has been resupplied and in big towns the supermarkets have no queues and no ration limits.

Typically this happens not long after I spend a smelly afternoon syphoning diesel out of all the broken old shit lying around the farm. Brother in law brimmed the Scenic just before it shat its gearbox so that and the dead tipper truck gave me about 90 litres. I will keep it as a standby though. Strikes are ongoing in various industries and the dude at the local pez station was pretty sure there would be more shortages to come.

Fingers crossed that it stays ok as 12 days to go now before I am out there picking up tat

Fine in the Alps today - friend reported normalish queue at the local hypermarche. Diesel 1.13 she thought.
