micra water leaks

K11 micra, leaks like a bastard! Any suggestions or ideas folks? Nearside front and rear footwells are swimming when it rains....

My Samba used to let water in. Could never work out where until one day I had to replace a rear quarterlight and under the rubber it was rotten and full of holes. Couldn't be seen with the window in place but that's where it was getting in. Hopefully yours will be a simpler fix.

 

Other than the usual check drain holes are clear, including for the sunroof (if it has one) matrix not leaking, door seals not perished and so on.

Both my Micra-Sheds leaked in the NS footwell - came from the front scuttle area there was a rubber bung that had perished out and was replaced with sikaflex

Mine did this, could never get to the bottom of it. Mine had no sunroof.

Tell me more about the scuttle?

Remove your glovebox and there is a rubber grommet with wires coming through the bulkhead - it actually drains down from the scuttle above - if the grommet is missing / ripped / perished then it pisses in here as water runs off the screen and down a seam. Dunno why the back foot well would be wet though as well unless its a sunroof drain ( down the A pillar and down the B pillar out of the bottom of the sill - try the soapy water tick to check if they are patent).

Also check the clip holes for the scuttle - means removing the plastic scuttle and wiper arms.
