GH shock absorbers.. ever heard of them?

Hi shitterZ

I need a pair of front shocks for a shitter. These GH items turned up while I was trawling the web and are about £30 cheaper for the pair than the next cheapest pair.

I can't find anything about them through Google, apart from the rather shonky looking website. I think they're German anyway.

Has anyone here used them?

Got them on the front of my Kangoo van along with cheap springs from the same dodgy ebay seller - going well so far!

So they haven't snapped in half yet? They just seem suspiciously cheap, but then some cheap parts suppliers turn out to be OK. I just don't want to replace them after 12 months due to leaks or something.

I don't know anything about them, although i have got a Chinese-made 'Great Horse'-branded flat cap that came from TKMaxx, wouldnt surprise me if they made shock absorbers as well

Anyone heard of NEOX? these could actually be a bit of drainpipe with a long straw in the middle.

Chance you take - I'm willing to accept that risk on a 51 plate 130k mile van with a hard life to save £100, others might not be

Paying more doesn't guarantee quality, it's often the same stuff rebranded.

I got £5 eBay drop links for the 850 a couple of years ago, and they had to be replaced before the next MOT. The replacements were about £15 a side from a local motor factor, and were exactly the same. They started rattling within 2000 miles. TRW is an OEM manufacturer so I thought I'd try a pair of theirs, they are exactly the same again. I managed to find a source for Lemforder at £30 a side. I didn't buy them but from the picture they look to be the same as well.

I say buy them, safe in the knowledge that the expensive ones would also be leaking within a year.

The GH shock absobers are a chinese made imitation of Japanese and European Brand name vehicles shock absorbers. GH Shock absorbers are a low quality cheap counterfeit. I purchased a pair of such GH struts from a Polish based Company called GH-parts.eu and got a big disappointment with them. In the First instance they didn't fit properly and second pair made car fill wobble in the corners. On the speed over 100Km/h my car felt like it was floating. Honestly, I regret buying GH shock absobers. Return was too expensive, so I should have bought good shocks in the first place to avoid problems and save myself costly reinstatement of shocks.  I do not recommend these extremely soft shocks to anyone.
