....is not a car,.  but is definitely shite.

i picked it up for a measley £25.

the guy who i bought it from has started to try and build a box trailer, using that well known waterproof material - chipboard!  needless to say, it weighs a bleeding tonne, and is like a sponge.

it used to be a trailer tent, and all the mechanical bits look ok, so i cant really fail to recoup my costs later on.  the plan at the moment is to strip all the wood off, and then turn it into a motorbike trailer as cheaply as possible.

if anyone has done similar in the past and can offer any wisdom, please feel free to chip in with any ideas :-)

i'll post updates as i go if anyone cares lol

I bolted a length of armco on mine to make professional* bike trailer and it was so impressive some pondlife stole it.

i was thinking armco too castros_bro, but im not sure of the dimensions of the inner channel, and im not fancying the idea of parking up on the M25 and measuring the stuff in the central reservation........

my back tyre is 185mm wide, so it'd need to be as close to that as possible i guess?

Mine had a curvy cross section so almost any bike tyre is held in the middle irrespective of tyre width, a 300 section would probably even fit in the channel.  There's several companies dealing in second hand Armco  as it's used on temporary road works and slightly damaged bits are sent for scrap or sold on Fleabay which is less exciting but safer then helping yourself to a length in the middle of the M25.

I wonder if your trailer builder is related to an ex work colleague of mine who made a barbecue out of galvanised.
