Rover 75 any interest?

Right as per title. My brother in law is looking to replace his rover 75.

 

I think it's on a 54 plate, unsure on miles. It has a couple of faults that he has told me about:

 

Boot leaks.

Heater fan is broken.

Sometimes has issues going into reverse and first gear.

Has a small ish dent in one door.

 

It a has been looked after as it used to belong to his elderly aunt who bought it new and subjected it to low usage so leads me to think it has relatively few miles now.

 

I know it is silver and of the petrol variety. I am just waiting for the ref number so i can get past mots up and more details for you all. It is based between hull and York.

 

I told him i would post up here to see if there is any interest and/or any suggestions on what price he should put it at. If anyone would like me to pass on his info I'll get in touch with him and get his permission.

You'll never get a decent value of opinion without a lot more info, I'm afraid, as well as pictures. It will depend on engine (1.8s are about as worthless as they come, from whet I can ascertain) as well as whether manual or auto and just general condition. 

 

Based on the info so far (appreciate you're getting more details) and assuming it's a low spec one then to be honest it sounds like £80-£150 might be a result if it has a decent whack of MOT.

Cool. I suspect it's a lower spec variety as the previous owner is now nearly 80 so wouldn't have bought too of the range.

 

Trying to get info out of my brother in law is like trying to reach the radiator drain plug on a proper mini. I will post up here as soon as i can with more info

A good ones got to be worth £500, one with problems that will show up immediately on a test drive... Whatever someone will offer for it I'm guessing.
