No, more basic models are more reliable. Series 1 cars rust less than the series 2 cars and if a s1 has got this far it's probably a good one

 

Good point, there's not much to go wrong with a mechanical pump diesel.

Electric Windows

Central locking

Lcd fault display

 

Being a base model mine only has 2 and 3,both are temperamental. My previous xm had all fitted all of which caused trouble.

The TCT Auto will give between 25-30mpg. Is sensibly quick, and will rust - rear from where Helieuz added the extra bits of body, sills, front of sills, bumper mounts. Superbly comfy too.
