Windscreen renovation

I've never had any luck TBH.

However, have you asked about for who the bodyshop trade uses locally, its surprising just how cheap you can get new screens supplied and fitted for if you avoid the heavy advertisers and the insurers mates.

My last 2 have been around £145 supplied and fitted and not for the most common cars either, W124 and Landcruiser, prefer not to claim despite it supposedly not affecting insurance.

I have a mahine polisher and tried loads of stuff.....G3, Tcut, toothpaste etc and while it made a slight difference to some of the minor swirly marks, it was largely a waste of an afternoon.

Best results I got were from running a brand new Stanley knife blade over the screen to scrape off any high points, then using a clay bar on it. This didnt remove the flaws, but did remove ingrained dirt which made a visible difference.

Bollox had a few posts about this somewhere iirc where he used some ebay potion. I dont think he got any better results either.
