Many thanks to Station for meeting me at the station, it saved the carnage that would have ensued should I have had to try to find him. I was up at stupid o'clock to catch a direct train from Cardiff to Chester. I'm glad it wasn't yesterday as the rail service was badly affected then by Storm Xerxes, or whatever we are up to by now.

The photograph at Chester was taken just before I drove off (over the kerb and in third gear as I discovered). Once I started using all the gearbox it went much better. I'm sure the sat-nav took me slightly the wrong way out of Chester, but I expect it's still callibrated for Roman roads.

I've never driven one before, but found it more than ok, no idea what the fuel consumption is like, but it will be better than the Land Rover, it seemed to have a fair amount in but I stuck some in anyway at the first garage. (Sorry no petrol station shot I wasn't thinking). As above, no bad traffic, a couple of wee stops and straight home. Just taxed it online and juggled things to get it behind the gate, where Toby and Ted are giving it an inspection.

Nice to meet you!!

I know you hate gimmicks, but there's a little button on the indicator stalk that brings up average mpg/temp/avg speed, etc on the little HUD on the rev counter. It's very useful!! I've never heard the being driven outside the car, but the exhaust sounds quite nice.

I will have another one with a supercharger.
