MGB plug lead order - assistance required

The old boy over the road has changed the dissy cap and plug leads on his MGB, and now it won't start. He suspects that he's put the leads on the dissy cap wrong (proper giffer - owned the car from new) Can any MGB/Sherpa Coupe owners help us out?

Think #1 points to #1 front from memory

 

Anti-clockwise too remember

And make sure you know which way the distributor turns or you'll end up with 1-2-4-3 and only two cylinders firing. If that does happen just swap 2 and 3.

If  he's changed the rotor arm as well substitute it for the old one before going too far.   Had far too many failures of those lately....
