Its always the way. Rovers back. Kia taken off the road as the sill needs welded and the exhaust went big time yesterday and now the Reliants chucked its xmas gifts out of its grp shell.

Set the seen. Its Christmas eve, is frosty cold and snowy* (Well is Scotland so is pissing down and blowing a fecking gale)

Have to drop the wee one off before i go to work and all is good. On the way to work the box makes a clank in third. I know my cars clanks this is not normal. Come onto a roundabout and as i come off clutch goes soft and will not go in gear.

Great. Edge of busy roundabout and cant get in gear. Whats the first thing i thing about. Yes this will be class for autoshite :).

After some time i get it into second and proceed the few miles to the office carpark. Had a quick look under the bonnet and engine and gearbox are still there so thats a plus.

Quick look underneath, thats the fecking primark suit ruined. There seems to be a long spring hanging down with the C shaped end broken off. Fingers crossed this can be replaced and all will be back to normal. Hopefully i can get it home tonight.

Not necessarily the main problem

Return spring might have snapped as it had to stretch further than it normally does because it's a release bearing fault

Knowing my luck with cars over the last few days bet it will be this.
