Yes - are you in a rush for them?

It is a shame - cruising up the M1 with the radio on and armrests down I was mentally planning the restoration. But the numbers don't add up and I don't want/need another labour of love project.

On the plus side, stripping a car to a shell and knowing that the bits are on another 10 cars makes it alright in my book.

Not really no-will fire you a pm later:)

Not a bad carve up for £3.99 though........on a weekday lunchtime too you decadent bugger!

Tell you what though, it resulted in the biggest, blackest turd this morning. Nearly drew blood - I'm sure my ring closed with a bang.

Plus, I could do all this work and it would fail the MOT on emissions - looking at last years result it only scraped past and a 21 year old 300'000 mile catalyst only lasts so long.

It's a 1994 car though - anything registered before 1/8/95 (N reg) can be put through as a pre-cat test if it fails on emissions...

I'm not saying that makes it worth fixing, but it's worth knowing about because a lot of testers don't.

Aaaahh............didn't no dat. Cheers.

Anyway, too late now, I've had the air con degassed ready to pull the donk in the new year. I'm thinking what an epic unit it would be in the 318i Touring.

It's a good breaker though, so c'est la vie! I had to post V5 off to get the plate, though, couldn't be done online. Will sort those bits ASAP :)

You can't win em all. Looked like a grand day out (bar the sandwhich) anyway.

UPDATE

Talk about saved from the dead. I gave the shell away to a bloke who wanted to cut sections out of it to rebuild a fucked Alpina B10 back in Feb/March. By chance I got talking to an Alpina club bod......turns out matey ended up reshelling the rotten Alpina into this very solid 525i shell. The sills were prefect and it only needed two wings and a back arch.

But as matey is selling it in the new year for upwards of 10 grand, I'm sworn to secrecy.  :-D
