Another part origin query - hinge

I have been asked to try and find a replacement for this by a member of another forum. It was fitted to a Dutton kit car bootlid and I have no idea of the source of this one.

So, is this something common that I really should know or is it from some rare old beast that we're never going to find a replacement for?

Over to you lot for a small miracle please.  :-D

Looks very similar to Rootes group boot kinge. Had them on my 64 Singer Gazelle.

What about Mk1 original mini door hinges? Or Hillman Minx/Sunbeam Rapier?

Mk1 mini door hinges have a mount that is too long for the boot 'scuttle' area on a Dutton,

TR4 hinges are a better size but have the wrong stud gaps (Prettier shape too)

Closest we have found is moggy minor boot hinges but i'm not familiar with the different derivatives.

Morris Minor that was the other I was trying to think of.

Isn't that an imp bonnet hinge? I seem to remember every kit car on the planet using them.

It isn't Morris Minor I don't think....Just checked my own car bonnet hinges totally different and boot hinges, although they have three studs do not have that step in the main casting.

Edit - although its possible very early Minor bonnets had different hinges, I don't recall any variants of boot hinge design on Moggies.

Useless factoid: Lotus Elan used Anglia front bumper. No wonder the countryside was littered with old Anglias missing their bumpers and boot hinges.
