Garage clear out-Citroen parts and tools

Hello all,

I've just been sent the following email in my role as 2cv person in the ccc.

If anyone is interested the mobile is below.

Dear All,

I hope that this proves productive to some of you.

Frank Scullion ran a Citroen garage based in Hampton Hill, Middlesex for over 30 years, after finishing serving his apprenticeship with what is now Bollingmores, before that.

Due to ill health Frank is currently disposing of 30 years worth of accrued parts, spares, tools etc etc.

I’ve just been down and picked up a stack of rare ID, DS, H Van and CX workshop manuals which I intend scanning and uploading to the appropriate club sites.

Admittedly, the garage is in rather a sorry state and Frank has asked a chap called Terry to ‘clear it out’. He doesn’t have a specialised Citroen background so I imagine that some very obvious stuff will end up on Ebay but I’m afraid that much of the stuff may find its way into a skip.

Terry is very keen for everything to go to a good home (at a nominal price!)

In the back store cupboard that I climbed into there were racks and racks of all sorts of parts such as lights off CX’s, GS’s, LNA’s etc etc

There is a 2CV project which Frank fitted with a GS/GSA engine many moons ago – I’m pretty sure he finished all the mechanical work but the bodywork just needs re-fitting. Again, would be a great opportunity missed if it was just scrapped.

If any of you (or other members) are interested please give Terry a call on 07825370294. I’m afraid it will be a case of meet with him the next time he’s around there sorting out and have a good rummage (give yourself plenty of time).

I’ve already got a huge stockpile of parts for my own Fleet but intend going back down for another session in the new year.

The garage is based just off Uxbridge Rd, Hampton, Greater London TW12

Just hope this rather valuable stockpile doesn’t go to waste. Please pass this email on to anyone else who you may feel would benefit.

Cheers,

Paul Gibbinson

It's not too far from me (45mins) and am happy to collect stuff. But I know sod all mechanically. So give him a ring and see what he's got.

Ok. I have just called my Citroen mechanic friend peter and he knows this chap. Apparently he thinks everything is worth a fortune- uncovered sm in his yard for twenty years is worth. £20k etc. There was a traction there, but he wanted £10k, when it was worth £1 etc. May be worth a call. But don't blame me when he asks silly money :-)
