DodgeRover Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Ditto I know of 2 one runner one for spares
Guest Hooli Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Disco MPi, it was a tax dodge model wasn't it? slower than the TDi with the MPG of the V8. A wonderful* choice.
Skut Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 128 Familiare must be pretty much history. Messrs Grindley of Perthshire have one in a terrible state and the only reason I know they existed. JeeExEll 1
alcyonecorporation Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 I haven't seen many Peugeot 605's recently. Had two - the ex Partridge V6 and a diesel (pictured). V6 sold quickly, the diesel took a wee while longer. After a robust conversation with WilsonWilson at the time (really, it was a very pleasant PM chat and we couldn't come to an agreement on price, no internet points were scored) a mate of a mate bought it. It's still at the bottom of CS's garden with my 960 estate.

Squire_Dawson Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 The Russian Volga. They were available in the UK but I don't know if any were actually made RHD or if the venture actually succeeded, but they did feature such refinements as grease nipples at the door hinges.
Squire_Dawson Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Also going back even further, the pre-war Opel Kadett which sold in large numbers in the UK. I've never seen one.
vulgalour Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 While there are other Pony survivors, namely the coupé and pick-up, have any estates survived? Did we even get them? Banger Kenny and Sir Snipes 2
Guest Hooli Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 That's not quite how I remember mine. I never drove one, had a mate who worked at a LR specialist & that's how he described them. I've never known him to be wrong about LR stuff before.
DodgeRover Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 We borrowed one while the v8 range rover was being looked at, we were quite surprised how well it went
PiperCub Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Late 70's Ren's - esp. the 14 & the 9 & 11. (no that's not the numbers for a roffle!). Used to be literally everywhere. Same applies to a lot of French stuff from this era, they all seem to disappear within a year. (Pug 405's are a good recent example of this).
Braddon81 Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 While there are other Pony survivors, namely the coupé and pick-up, have any estates survived? Did we even get them? Blighty sadly never received the Mk1 Pony estates. Just the 2 and 4 doors saloons up until the 1982 face-lift which spawned the 5 door hatch. Banger Kenny and vulgalour 2
