Airports aren't necessarily representing national culture and heritage, you know.

And thanks God they aren't, when I look at Heathrow.

Don't EVER go to Elmdon Aerodrome... sorry, "Birmingham International"...

State of infrastructure is a good point actually, particularly given how in excess of capacity the UK roads network is. The Edinburgh bypass for example is like being in a constantly moving traffic jam with the car behind trying to sit in the back seat.

I love this clip, the guy was doing a mere 97mph on an A road, and due to his expert riding skills, everything was going really well

Until something outside of the riders control happened. That's when he died.

and from memory the car driver got charged because he/she said they didn't see the bike coming, well it's not like it was doing nearly 3 times the limit or anything.

I genuinely cant believe some of the absolute crap I've read over the last few pages, just shy of 200, no matter your driving experience or car it is completely unacceptable on a open public road, end off, their is no justification. No matter how cleaver you think your argument is.

I've been, and I can't recommend it at all.

Pretty much every village & town in southern Germany holds a Kirchweih or Altstadtfest in mid-to-late summer, any of these events will be more enjoyable and a great deal more friendly than the impersonal, crowded, monolithic tourist-fest that is the Oktoberfest.

seconded. when every village has it's own brewery and it's own excellent beer, every weekend is a festival. No need to get suckered in by the Oktoberfest

I didn't know that about the driver of the car. I put the clip up to highlight to the pro-speed bellends on here that it's all well and good driving at that speed but you have zero control over other road users, and that those other road users won't be expecting to encounter vehicles travelling at those speeds.
