We have this drill rig in at work that's trying to be saved, after a fire left it in the yard for years.

We think it's from the 60's or 70's, but that's a stab in the dark. Hopefully you knowledgeable lot will tell me what series of engine it is so I can get some bits ordered.

Local tractor/plant parts place were as knowledgable as epc, but maybe that's because I had no info at all. Just a lift pump and some random numbers.

Can't find a engine number.

Ford 360? Looks about right for one of them and they were fitted to tractors.

2700 through 5000 5600 5610 6600 6610 6700 any of these engines? Those injector pumps were moved to the top right from the centre at the 2700 model...I think, for tractors. The industrial engines had a different numbering and oft came from Dagenham anyway.

I think 2700 for a sorta ballpark guess. I don't have my books handy.

ps...all parts available.

I am sure that looks like the same engine as powered the Henley Hercules forklift truck. They never gave much trouble.

That's a Ford Dorset / Dover engine. As used in the Cargo truck, and before that in the D- Series truck

The industrial versions were sold by Ford Power products. When UK production petered out in 1992, production continued in Turkey and so good were they that these people www.hendypower.co.uk sold the Turkish built engines here.

Looks like a Thames trader engine, might be a 508e

There is a number under the thermostat housing
