Anyone breaking a E36 3series.

While I've been off work I thought I would play around with the cars and now I've run out of things to do on both motors till I noticed a bit of interior trim around the window frame had come unglued on the E36 compact.

So I thought I would have a go of taking it off and regluing it but have now made a right pigs ear of it..

 

 

I think I would have more chance finding a secondhand one rather than getting hold of the material plus being an old car I wouldn't be able to get the colour match I want that looks like a 40 a day smoker has had the car for the last 18 years that I need for the part to blend in.

 

I know it's a long shot but if anyone has one to sell let me know cheers.

I managed to repair it this morning ok in the end as I looked up on the net and apparently lighter fluid gets glue off and I had some in the cupboard, so I cleaned it up and reglued the material but gave the glue a minute or two to go tacky and it's as good as new.
