Corsa B occasionally slow starting

Corsa 1.7 diesel n/a, occasionally sluggish starting, feels a bit reluctant to start every now and then. It's not the battery that's fine, bled the fuel system, drained any water off the filter - there wasn't any. Before I start swapping the filter, have I missed something here? Checked round the injectors only a slight weep on one of them.

I hope not! It's not knocking or anything. It's 2000 W reg so I wouldn't advise spending much to put it right, so hopefully it's something cheap to keep it going.

Glow plugs working? Note that there's a relay and also a stupid controller thing that fires the relay.

I thought about the plugs but the light goes out after a few seconds, this would indicate to me they were ok?

Nope. There's a box in the drivers A pillar that controls the light and also the plugs. When I had my hateful 1.5TD I also got fooled that it puts the light on but doesn't put the plugs on too

 

Stick a volt meter on a plug and see if it's getting power.
