What was up with my central locking?

Decadence, I know. Anyway my central locking starting doing this weird thing a while ago and it's just occurred to me that it appears to have stopped of it's own accord and I'm puzzled. Sometimes when I would lock or unlock the car upon closing the door the locks would repeatedly activate but only in the direction that I just turned them. Sometimes it did it once, sometimes it went 'thunk... thunk... thunkthunkthunkthunkthunkthunkthunkthunk'.

 

Any ideas?

Sorry I am of no use. Just that my lads Peugeot 405 does that now and again. Also when he indicates right the doors lock. Just amazing French wiring skills.
