Transporting a car

Morning all,

I may need to transport a car (no mot etc) from Shrewsbury to Caerphilly (I live near Caerphilly).

I've looked at Shipley-but does anybody have any recommendations?

 

I could also hire a trailer-but cannot find any locally.

 

Any advice appreciated!

If you have a good tow car and the correct license, (or a helpful friend who does,) type "car trailer hire" into ebay, and sort by "nearest first". There's usually loads on there.

There must be something for you in/near South Wales. Costs about £50 per day.

Not sure if they still do them, but I have hired off SGM on Penarth Road Cardiff in the past. (Didn't really like their trailers as they had the inboard wheels, i.e. the small ones under the bed, great for getting in and out of the transported vehicle, but gives a higher centre of gravity so not as stable.) Not sure if they still do transporter trailers, or what they are like now; the other Cardiff people were on Cowbridge Road East, but I think they have now given up.
