What era is this home movie from?

I've had this old Super 8/16mm film sitting around for a couple of years and whilst playing with my macro photography stuff I decided to look at properly for the fist time. It looks like there could be some quality shite going on.

The quality isn't great as I had to tape the film to my iPhone 4 screen with a blank white image displayed. The human eye can't detect the individual pixels on these phones but you can quite clearly see them here. If anyone has a projector for this film they don't use give me a shout and I'll be able to film it with my digital camera.

A wild guess based on the Beetle and the style of cars, buses and clothing, I'd say mid-late '60s.

Good stuff - looks to have been shot in Edinburgh - the strip on the left is chambers street and the national museum of Scotland, the middle is the Scott monument on Princes street with the Balmoral hotel (known as the North British back then) in the background. Not sure about the strip on the right, looks familiar but can't quite place it yet.

Bus is an Edinburgh Titan (if more evidence is needed that it is Edinburgh).
