The absolute cheapest cars to run (antidote to financed moderns)

This was the cheapest car I have ever owned! 

 

 

A 1993 Mitsubishi Pajero 2,5 TD. 

 

Why? I got it in 2002 from the first owner for 1 Euro. Maybe because the former keeper who bought it new was my father.   I drove it 3 years (45.000km) with 10 litres of Diesel on 100km and sold it in 2005 for 6500 Euro. In the 3 years, I think all I had to do was a service every year and once a new exhaust.
