grifterkid Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Walton Bridge Breakfast Club Sunday 26th July 2015 08:00hrs - 12:00hrs (approx) Walton Lane Riverside Car Park, Walton-on-Thames,Surrey, KT12 1QW (ish) Google Maps Link... Well hello again boys and girls... The ever diverse Walton Bridge Breakfast Club is swinging into town again and it needs your support to make it as exciting and as interesting as it has always been so far! Each meet just keeps getting better (and better, and better etc...) so please do come along and get involved with your car or just come along and have a peek to see what the WBBC is all about! Without you lot this meet would be nothing so thanks a million, you make this meet what it is and I really cannot ask for more than that (I mean that sincerely, I really do)... Anyhow, enough of all that mumbo-jumbo! Walton Bridge Breakfast Club is back YET AGAIN and I want ALL (and I do mean all) you wonderful people to come down in your equally wonderful old/unique/special motors...! You really do need to come along if you're into old/classic/retro/exotic/unique/rusty vehicles... Come along to the tranquil riverside in Walton-on-Thames for some good old fried grub (Nothing but the best artery clogging nosh is served here folks), a mug of hot coffee and a chance to have a look at a superb and varied selection of wonderful classic and exotic vehicles of all persuasions... This is just a little, local meet so all makes and types of classic and exotic vehicle are more than welcome to attend and that is what I encourage... Variation is the key here so please don't be shy (don't ever underestimate what you've got)! Cars, trucks, tractors, buses, motorbikes and boats (we are right by the river!!!) are all welcome if that's what you've got!!! Please be aware that although the car park is pretty large other members of the public will be using it also so it is all based on a first come, first gets a space rule... This is why I've started the meet from 08:00hrs (the early bird catches the worm and all that)...!!! Please drive carefully and responsibly in the car park as other people will be carelessly wandering around in there...!!! Safety is paramount so caution is the key... Keep your eyes peeled for people on foot as they won't keep their eyes peeled for you...!!! I cannot stress the importance of being sensible in the car park enough... Bring your vehicle, bring your family, bring your friends (bring people waiting at the bus-stop if you want to!) and don't forget to bring a camera (or CamCorder!!!)... So, please do spread the word far and wide and let everyone (and I mean everyone!) know about this meet as I want this to be another ruddy good one... The Walton Bridge Breakfast Club is here and it's here for people just like you! See you there (I hope!)... For more info' please email me on [email protected] http://www.facebook.com/waltonbridgebreakfastclub * Future WBBC meets for 2015 TBC...
jonny69 Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 That link takes me into the middle of the Thames. Is this some kind of joke? I might be able make this. I've put it in the diary and see what swmbo says. grifterkid 1
purplebargeken Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I will try and sneak out for this but I'll have had injections in my back on the 24th so not 100% sure. grifterkid 1
richardmorris Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I may be able to pop along-depends how work goes. grifterkid 1

richardmorris Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Bit cold and very wet - but then it is July. Skizzer 1
inconsistant Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 That orange GS is absolutely gorgeous, saw it last weekend at the Warlingham car show. Would love to get along to this meet sometime, but won't be for a couple of months.
richardmorris Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 More photos from this morning's meeting.Lancia Flaminia was my favourite- although the porsche was perfect. The golf L had done 13,000 miles from new and was cleaner than out of the showroom. Had a good talk with both the owner of the 356 and a beautiful jenson interceptor. He reckoned he could get 23mpg on a long run sticking to 60 in overdrive, otherwise it's single figures round town! He's done 100,000miles in it though - must own shares in BP.Delorean was on Russian plates and just driven back from Moscow! And there was some chopped down hotrod/ford Anglia with a bmw v8 on a ladder chassis with no bonnet, wings or bumpers - the guy was convinced it was all legal. oh, and the short wheelbase Quattro is a very nice fake - someone turned up on a bike who used to work for audi in the 1980s. giveaways are it being RHD and the paint was too good. Apparently you can still see the carbon weave under the paint on the real ones. That r129 is a 280 and the seats were beige cloth (FTW!) and looked like someone had either died on them or had a problem with inconetinence. What's wrong with giving them a clean once a decade or so? The blue r107 SL was very nice though. skattrd and Jim Bergerac 2
