Right Car Wrong colour ...

I bought a new CX in this colour:

 

 

It had an interior that looked like Sigourney Weaver had sewn Aliens into Fozzie Bear furs.

That CX looks pretty good in that colour. My local Citroen repairer has one that's a symphony in brown, but that rather suits it, too.

That's not what people told me while I had it. Which wasn't long, but for different reasons.

Have not seen one in that colour.  It looks beautiful. 

 

Very few cars can carry off pink or bile green successfully.  Large cars in solid bright red look as though they are missing the ladder on the roof and bell on the front.

This is one of the ex-Junkman '61 Imperials in a totally wrong colour:

 

 

It was the original shade and when I restored it, I didn't change it.

However, dark colours don't work on finned Imperials and I always considered this one of my big mistakes.

 

Here is one in the Spring Special colour Malibu Tan:

 

 

Note how much more 'alive' it is in a light colour, despite the colour itself is shit.
