Had a 2014 Vito today complaining of engine noise and no power.

The guy left home this morning and drove a mile before thinking this don't sound right so went home again.

 

So i lifted the bonnet thinking turbo hose may have popped off and found there was no exhaust connected to the turbo...

 

And underneath the cat /dpf filter had been neatly cut off.

 

Some people have big balls thats all i can say.

Had a sprinter with the same last months . Thick end of a grand in after market parts . A company called kms on eBay sell a kit for all the sensors etc as well as shear bolts for the new one

It's so quick to steal a van dpf/cat it's unbelievable

The vito driver was not at all happy and said it was not his van but one he had borrowed.

His van had been parked outside his house for months no problem and who ever took the exhaust off this one foolishly didn't realise whos van they had touched.

 

The guy claimed he was high up in the pecking order of people not to upset in the area and was certain the stolen bits would soon be returned when word got out whos van it was.
