Thanks for that richardmorris, in contrast my local Peugeot dealer were most unhelpful when I was after bits for the 1998 v6 Coupe, was told we dont cater for the older models ??

 

I use Waters in Hatfield (I think they are called something else now).  The parts guys are really great and as helpful as is possible; however they also cannot get some parts for even a 15 year old 607 (same parts as a 10 year old one).

 

lack of parts will be what kills off Peugeots of this age.  They can't even supply an 806 headlamp so in theory the car is one stone away from being a write off.

Mine is the first car I've had for years where I'm thinking of keeping it for another year until I can afford an E55 AMG estate to replace it with.

About a week after  got mine ( E320) I knew I should have bought the E430 or the E55! I'll wait another 12 months and then we'll see!

Agreed. I keep looking at Merc Estates and really want a E55 Estate or E430. I always thought mine should be a 320 instead of a 280, but it seems reasonable.

Hi, replaced the throttle cable last weekend as things were a bit stiff down below, not me, the car !! £ 22.00 from friendly main dealer. Very straight forward but forgot the pictures, sorry. Car continues to waft me to site and back, and piss off most of my fellow workers who feel I should have a van. F..k that I say !!

Exhaust has decided to sprout extra holes, so onto ebay and ordered back box and reasonator ? with all clamps and rubber hangers from a supplier in Poland. Price is £74.00, WCPGW ?

Always check at the main dealer for exhausts first, i've found that (cats apart) genuine items are literally only a few quid more expensive and the aftermarkets often sound shit in comparison.

Hi all, exhaust arrived last Friday, 2 silencers, pipe and all fittings all for £74.00, and seems like good quality as well. it was bloody heavy ! So on Saturday I spent 4 hours lying underneath the car and am pleased to say it fits perfectly. Most of the time was getting the rusty bolts and gasketsetc off. Fitting went smoothly. Cheers, Bill.
