BorniteIdentity Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Hey fellow wbmbles Currently I have a Toyota Granvia people carrier on fleet to carry my many, many children around. It has the world famous 3.0 TD engine from the landcruiser/surf in it. I have experimented a little with veg at about 25% veg / 75% derv and enjoyed the smell of doughnuts. Has anyone got good experience of running veg in this at greater strength and how was it? Jokes aside, we're pretty fond of it. Don't want bork if it can be avoided, but every pound's a prisoner. Over and out.
garbaldy Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 My colly ran OK for a good few miles then started to spew oil out the pump seals, this could have been down to the age and mileage of the pump but my second colly ran well over 200k without an issue on pump dizzle.I do have a spare low milage pump sitting on a box.
2MB Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 They do run a Bosch type pump but I have no experience first hand of their vegability
forddeliveryboy Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 From what I can remember on the vegoildizzle forum (the place to ask) they're fundamentally ok but with a couple of niggles which may need sorting. If you're considering buying new oil and saving as little as 30ppl remember the mpg losses (10% perhaps, depending) and 3 or 4 fuel filters over the next 6,000 miles - food oil isn't filtered to vehicle requirements.
explosive-cabbage Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Where are you located? Are you coming to Shitefest? I may be able to help you out in the future.
