It's occurred that I'm spending a frickin fortune in AP these days. I have been offered "membership" over the counter before but could not see any discernable benefit as just a private person so never bothered.

 

Anybody else joined up and if so is there any financial rewards or is this just another way to harvest your details and spending patterns?

 

Tried doing a search and nothing came up, but this may have more to do with the fact that no-one (inc myself) can spell privilege without a checker

Like Halfords Trade card I assume. Halfords make a ridiculous mark up on stuff like bulbs.

There pretty big in notts vans everywhere, used to use them loads as was well cheap, but as ecp do free delivery to my house and I am lazy I haven't used them for a while.

They started getting greedy a few years ago if you weren't spending over a grand a month with them. Their costing guy/woman was deranged, thinking they could get away with charging twice and the rest what Mercedes does for aftermarket copies. I asked them if they hadn't noticed sales dropping right off when I rejected some parts at crazy prices a while back. Their classic response was always "ah but you never know what the stuff's like you can get online". 

 

Have heard they've had a pricing review recently, but I only go there if nothing else is available and it's needed fast. Their own range of pads was always dirt cheap though and better than the ECP equivalent.
