RS2000 4x4. Classic or Crap?

My OCD neighbour had a dark blue one when they were new. He used to take the wheels off weekly to polish the unseen part of the rim. I think I hated him, for no other reason than this fact.

He was probably the only person who's rims stayed intact. The original wheels were diamond cut and lacquered from the factory. Drive the little RS hard enough and the lacquer would soon give up as it was softened up and / or burnt off by the heat from the brakes. The front wheels on mine were a horrible flaky mess after a few quick trips around Wales.

Ace car the Mk5 RS, but very easy to set the brakes on fire on a fast b road.

As soon as he started talking in that advert I remembered it. The early ones are really starting to look good now aren't they, which is odd as they never did when they were new. There was that Harrier for sale on Ebay a while back that I had a right lob on for.

I have always liked the mk5a in XR3i and RS2000 guise.

They will definitley have their day.

They're obviously all shite and of no interest to the future generations at all. ....

Feel free to send every 1 of them my way and ill dispose of them in a very barnfind friendly sort of way.......
