Ah but companies with big fleets like ours replace them at 6, 8 or 10 years depending on the type of van regardless of condition or mileage.

They fitted a new engine and two new doors on a transit that was replaced 2 months later.

Similarly the company cars are gone at 100k miles or 5 years. condition is irrelevant as they have binned off some pristine 5 year old cars.

The company I work for lease vans and cars from Lex.

Small vans (Connects, car based vans) get replaced at 5 years.

Sprinters get replaced at 5 years.

Transits get replaced at 7 years.

Cars go at 3 years.

 

My Sprinter is due replacement later this year, just ordered the replacement. There's nothing wrong with it at all, and it's only done 45K! It'll be a good buy for someone when it goes to auction.

They all have to be sent back to Lex free of damage and defects too so they should be fine.
