All new and barely run in.

To redress the balance, my brother's Honda with just over 100k and 16 miles under its belt feels hella tight y0.

Brick volvos with the red block engine tend to be good for 4-500k with normal maintenance before oil burning may start to become an issue, my 940 has the d24 vw lump and was on 243k when I bought it. These engines are either brilliant or catastrophically shit depending on who you talk to, mine just felt and drove "right" so I had no qualms about buying it.

As others have said, the VAG 1.9 n/a diesel is likely to be still running like a clock when the rest of the vehicle is knackered, same with the '90s Ford 1.8 diesel, I've known loads of Fiestas, focus and mondeos with starship enterprise mileage.

Peugeot's indenor, XUD and Ford's 2.5 di can also be staggeringly long lived
