Where I would get another 4 nights towards another free night using the welcome rewards, for £122 or I could stay here :

Hopefully within a couple of weeks I can sign a 6 month lease on a decent 1 bed house with garage and garden for £next to feck all.

I'm a Derby lad. Whereabouts in Derby will you be working? Castle Donnington is a good way from Derby town centre.

Raynesway.  Rolls Royce Submarines, but working for Frazer Nash * I've had a few contracts in Derby over the years, and usually book a B&B for the first couple of weeks and then find a room in someone's house, (via spareroom.co.uk) but this time, I have decided that I'll spend the first couple of weeks looking for a house or flat, to rent, so that my wife is tempted to come and visit.  The hourly rate justifies/allows me to be a bit more discerning than previously, when I've rented rooms in Mackworth, Allenton, and Wilmorton, (None of which are as bad as the dire reputation they have locally)

* Interestingly neither RR or FN are involved in cars, or have been for years and years.

Raynesway - You should be able to see 2 huge wind turbines there.

Castle Donnington is a good option for Raynesway. Chellaston/Alvaston would be good too. Chaddesdens not a bad option either.

Am at RR too.
