Sounds suspiciously like bollocks to me. Likely outcomes of signing up are:1) 10,000 unsolicited spam emails a week.2) 59 telephone calls per day asking if you want to change your mobile phone / internet providings.3) In the event of you owning a decent car, a high probability of it going walkabouts whilst you are asleep / in the garden / in the bath / watching pornOr maybe I am just a cynical old git.

"Hi, PL53 TLB, saw you were a sexy young thing as you got into your car at Homebase in Wakefield, so I followed you for a while but lost you somewhere south of Doncaster, it was difficult to see without my headlights on. Drop me a line, we can go to the rollerdisco."

I think "Hey K577RLF, did you get your licence in a fucking lucky bag?" is more likely.(K577RLF is a 405 estate that got in my way in 1992. I may not be able to hold a job but I can hold a grudge)

I once had a note left on the screen of my first Landy. I was a regular in a pub in Chester, but was on call for recovery, so drank soft drinks. It was signed "The Phantom Scribbler" . I did meet up with the young lady in question. Face of an Angel, body of a Goddess, boots of a Miner! Rebekah they called her, was a bloody great laugh for a few months unitl I moved away and lost touch. Wonder where she is now? In case you were wondering, she was a "Rock Chick" therefore the footwear was obligatory!

Just to note, there has been no measurable increase in spam since I signed up Friday night. There is this reassurance too (the terms below), because what you said had concerned me & got me thinking but I reckon there's nothing to fear as, apart from spam (no change) & marketing phone calls (none), you don't have to give out accurate address details. If somebody wants my address on there for something they'll have to give me a bloody good reason first! Apart from that, what else is there to worry about!?

It won't let me link to the terms for some strange reason. If I add the link in to my post, the whole post becomes invisible, but if I remove just the link from the post it all becomes visible again - very bizarre!:?

Ok well below is the page anyway.
