Having perused the classifieds for a suitable replacement for wife's fiesta (which we hav'nt sold) I have been surprised at the amount of fit for the bridge iron that is being offered for sale.

 

I looked at comparable fiesta's so as to know what to price our car at - lots of them offered for sale with dissolving sills, blown head gaskets and knocking bottom ends. Pretty pointless offering them for sale - just send it to the bridge. Who would pay £500 for a Y reg fiesta with a blown head gasket, no matter how clean it is?

 

Lots of BMW E46's as well with rust, blown head gaskets(again) and various other issues - obviously bought by people who will not spend the money on them.

 

To be honest I will keep our car on gumtree for another few days then I will pull the ad and maybe lash out on a timing belt - apart from the fact it is a bit small it may be a case of better the devil you know.
