Diagnostic software (Lexia/PP2000)

Evening chod chasers,

Does anyone have the Lexia PC adaptor type business for reading the brains of semi-modern Citroens?

Looking to either borrow or buy one, but £50+ is a bit much to shell out for something that will get fairly limited use.

If there's a few people out there who are similarly tight fisted and own appropriate heaps, perhaps we could chip in for a forum one?

I have one, but I don't have a laptop with a 32 bit version of Windows to run it.

Where there's a will, there's a way.

I have windows 7 64 bit on mine, but have a virtual machine installed with 32 bit XP on it.

Works fine with my existing VAG software.

The software is free and you will also need an XP disc or image to install on your virtual machine.

It's not too difficult to set up but does take a while.

If you go on the French Car Forum they have a map of members who have a Lexia and are willing to let people use it. Cost varies from a few beers to actual money.

I have my Volvo software on a virtual machine, not least because there was quite a bit of jiggery pokery involved in making it work and I wasn't keen to bugger up my real machine.

Thanks for the tip. I will go and sign up over there as it seems to be the place to go for info on Frenchies.

Good luck! I have my clone somewhere and never got it to work! £30 and I'll dig it out and send you it, stupid waste of £80 bastard.

I found a chap nearish me to run an elit over it and solve all its problems!
