Present fleet unremarkable mileage wise....

Range Rover 157k

205              135K

GT6               9K allegedly (assuming 109k)

Top spot goes to a 1992 merc w124 estate dizzler I owned a few years back. 366K on the clock. It was totally worn out by this stage through neglect and abuse. leaking fuel tank, slipping autobox and rust in most places.

What happened to the 504 brookjm? :(

That 500k Peugeot is a thing of absolute beauty

I have always owned cars plus of 100k

The lowest mileage car I ever bought was my 06 plate mk5 Golf Gti which blew it's oil pump after 9

Months of ownership at 89k!!

I suppose alarm Bells should have rung when I asked the dealer what car they px'd it for (the car was at a proton main dealers) and he said a diesel focus. I presume that despite me babying it, replacing all consumables and a new air con pump and checking oil every week, that the previous owner couldn't afford to run it!

Oh well, the 306 Rallye has 178k on it and since owning it for the past month I have driven a fair distance!

Our 806 is up to 230,000 miles now I think.

This is now mostly short journeys around London so it's doing well.

Not high, but very symetrical.

Behold! The mileage of the beast!

We look after a 1999 Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDi, which as a taxi has just rolled around to 500,000 miles.  Surprisingly the only major work it's had have been clutches and dual mass flywheels, the head has never been off it and it's still on its original turbo.

My 1991 Sierra 1.8 is coming up to 108,000 miles, which is quite an achievement for a CVH.

Is there not a standard flywheel/clutch alternative for that engine, or are there probs with it I wonder? How long do these flywheels seem to last with the taxi?
