Parky Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Slightly ironic how their business improvement arm couldn't help out here. A shame to think there may be no more unipart branded stuff. I dare say a lot of stock will be sold off to get rid of the old branding so there might be some bargs here eddyramrod 1
messerschmitt owner Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 This is depressing. The best factors in town was Unipart. Always friendly, helpful service and bloody good prices on oil.ianCountrywide always has good prices on oil. £17 for 5l of fully synth Fuchs for example.
AnthonyG Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I wonder who got the pensions liabilities - odds on it's the now defunct Automotive Bit. Why is it so hard to make money as a motor factors? Is it independent garages dying out or something?
Sigmund Fraud Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 It's not my fault!I just bought two genuine Unipart oil filters for the RBM. I hope the RV8 ones are not the same quality* as the A-series ones I used to buy. If they are, the filtering* element will probably consist of recycled bits of the Daily Mail held together with parcel string. CreepingJesus 1

Unless the new owners opt to take on the liability but I very much doubt they will fancy that. Uniparts deficit could be many times their market value, it's quite an old group and probably has quite a few thousand pensioners in it
